ANYINASUSO CIRCUIT U15 GIRLS CROWNED DISTRICT NETBALL CHAMPIONS 2024

The Anyinasuso U15 girls put on a fine display of netball this afternoon at the Tepa SHS school park in the Ahafo Ano North municipal winning the District Netball Tournament in a convincing fashion.

They sailed through their pool stage with some convincing wins over their opposition. They looked strong in defence,The shooters performed well in the circle, keeping their percentages high, in particular the final where they scored a whopping 11 goals between them and it traveled to penalty shootout. The centre court players dominated the play, linking the defence and attack well to allow Anyinasuso Circuit the best chance to gain possession and convert our chances. It was an outstanding afternoon of netball and a huge congratulations to all involved. A particular mention to their goal Shooter Modzaka Comfort who lifted the trophy for the team. Well done girls!

The head coach of the Anyinasuso circuit who led the team to victory, Mr Anyimadu Kwasi Prosper Popularly known as Sir Prosper said, “Winning was an incredible experience and a dream come true, all are hard work and determination had paid off and it felt amazing to win with such a dedicated team full of friends.

It was also a relief because we had been training very hard and I was very nervous for the final. He dedicated the trophy to all the Head Teachers in the Anyinasuso Circuit especially Mr. Collins Kusi Dacosta, the Head Teacher of Bonkron M/A JHS who were Champions in the Circuit.
Looking ahead, I would love for us to retain the title at the regional level and remain undefeated. A personal goal for me is to play at a national level.”

Sir Prosper added, “Winning was such an amazing feeling, it made me so happy knowing that all our hard work paid off. Our team definitely deserved it and this season has brought us so much closer together. But winning wasn’t just the final score it also showed all the teamwork and determination we have put into this year. Our next goal is to inspire future netballers and keep our title as District champions.
